Ad preflighting
Often, ads are not sent compliant with a publisher's submission guidelines or
in a format they can use. DMGinc.
preflights native ad materials for accuracy
and creates/converts all ads into a “locked” placement file
(PDFX1a,
EPS or
TIFF)
which optimizes efficiency and reduces cumbersome management of artwork, fonts,
colors, preferences, style sheets and linking.
Ad Archiving
Once an ad is preflighted, locked and appoved, the ad is ready to be placed in the
publication's master document. DMGinc.
will archive these final ads for a 12 month
period for pickup usage. If an ad is reused, it is automatically moved forward in
the archive system and the 12 month clock resets.
Ad Placement
Preflighting and locking is an essential part of proper ad handling, however they
will ultimately need to be correctly placed in the layout application. When the
final master document(s) for a publication are ready to be sent to
DMGinc., a
break-of-book (roadmap) is submitted with the files and
DMGinc. will place final,
preflighted and locked ads accordingly.
